ABOUT SODOM

Sodome is a bathhouse for men who have sex with men in Mexico City, created by and for us. For over a decade, it was born from the desire of a group of friends to have a meeting place specifically designed for the community, with high standards of hygiene, comfort, and security.
Located at Calz. Mariano Escobedo 716, colonia Anzures, a few minutes from Polanco and Chapultepec, Sodome has become a benchmark of gay life in the city: a space where you can come alone or with friends, relax, meet new people, and explore your desires in a carefully maintained and respectful environment.
A place to shed clothes... and prejudices
At Sodome, we believe that just as you take off your clothes, you can also shed labels, pretenses, and judgments. Here, your body or how much you earn doesn't matter:
- you'll find twinks, daddies, bears, muscleguys, tattooed men, and all kinds of guys, etc.
- there are no preferences for body type or age (always over 18),
- the principle is simple: diversity, respect, and consent.
Our goal is for you to feel like you're in a refuge: a place where you can look and be looked at, get closer if you feel like it, or simply observe from afar, always at your own pace and within your limits.
The Sodom experience
Sodome has several levels and areas designed for you to experience it however you want:
- Reception area and lockers to check in, leave your phone safe, and store your belongings.
- Bar and social areas, ideal for chatting, breaking the ice, and enjoying the atmosphere.
- Saunas and steam rooms, showers, and a jacuzzi, to relax and get in the mood.
- Mazes and corridors for playing with glances and discreet exploration.
- Hourly private rooms and nightly suites, for those seeking more intimacy.
- Specific areas such as a foam room, cage, sling, and themed zones at some special parties and events.
Everything is designed to be functional, clean, and aesthetic, with refined finishes and an atmosphere that blends eroticism, elegance, and comfort.
Hygiene, Safety, and Basic Rules
Hygiene and safety are not an extra: they are part of the Sodome concept.
- Upon entry, a security check is performed: no drugs, narcotics, outside beverages, or weapons are allowed.
- The use of cell phones is prohibited inside the premises; they are stored at reception with your name and key number.
- With your cover, you receive a locker, sarong, sandals, condom, lubricant, and a towel; there are additional services with extra payment such as private rooms, suites, anal douching, extra towels, and additional lubricant.
- Consent is the golden rule: "no means no"; no one is forced to interact with anyone.
Additionally, Sodome has historically collaborated with health organizations such as La Manta de México to offer information on sexual health and rapid and confidential HIV tests, reaffirming its commitment to free but responsible sexuality.
Community, celebrations, and collaborations
Sodome is not just a building: it's a community. Every month, themed parties and special events are organized, with DJs, gogo dancers, impersonators, and activities designed to make each visit a different experience. In addition, Sodome actively participates in cultural and sports projects, sponsoring university diversity festivals, LGBT+ film festivals, art encounters, and tournaments such as the LGBTTI Cup.
In terms of health, Sodome collaborates with organizations and NGOs specializing in sexual health to offer, on specific days, rapid HIV and other sexually transmitted infection tests, bringing information and services closer to the community.
Even in operational details, we seek consistency with these values: for ecological reasons, towels are requested only when you need them, reducing waste and carefully managing resource use.
What to expect on your first visit.
If it's your first time at a bathhouse or Sodome, here's what you can expect, in a nutshell:
- You arrive at the entrance at Mariano Escobedo 716, ring the bell, and the staff will open the door for you.
- You pay your cover, leave your cell phone in safekeeping, if you have valuables leave them in the safe deposit boxes, and receive your locker, sarong, sandals, condom, lubricant, and towel.
- You change, store your belongings, and decide how to experience it: have a drink at the bar, go up to the different floors, relax in the sauna, steam room or jacuzzi, explore the mazes, or rent a private room or suite if you want more intimacy.
- No one pressures you to do anything: you can simply observe, socialize, play... or leave whenever you want.
